Acme Silent Dog Whistle

I have been on night shift at work for the the last month, it has given me some time to play around with some projects that i have been putting aside for a while.

The first one is my Acme Silent Dog Whistle that I have had for many years, i decided to use some type 1 paracord in desert camo that that came with my last order from Supply Captain. I Began with a Turks head knot around the cap part of the whistle, I have not put anything around the whistle it's self because you can adjust the pitch by winding it out or in. I then used some .9mm cord to join the cap and whistle together and finished them off with a lanyard knot on each end.

The second job i had to do was a watch band for my nephews family guy star wars watch, i gave him a choice of about 15 different colours to pick from but decided on camo pattern as the first pass of the cobra weave and then desert camo over the top, he then picked a stainless D shackle and a pirate skull bead as the closer.
I had to do a bit of dremel work on the inside of the skull to get the pin to line up properly, the end result was good and he was very happy with it.

Rainbow Woven Half-Hitch Pouch

I had one of my wife's friends see the other woven and half-hitch pouches that i made the other day, she asked if i could do a rainbow pattern for her to use as a coin pouch.
I gave it some thought and decided to give it a try. I cut some 550 cord approx 150mm long in each colour that i had on hand removed the centre strands and then went to work melting the paracord back together trying to keen the joins as smooth as possible.
When they were all joined i had a rainbow coloured cord approx 1800mm long i then added a length of gutted black that was 1800mm long to the rainbow coloured and started to wing it around the impulse bottle that i have been using on the other pouches.
I was i little concerned when i started that the joins in the different colours would make this project look cheep and nasty but they wove in really well and there is only one join that is in the middle of a weave that can be seen. this is a great way to use up any off cuts of paracord that you have, the next one i make will have shorter lengths maybe 75-100mm.

A Modified Woven and Half-hitched Paracord Pouch...

I followed one of Stormrane's tutorials on how to make this Woven and Half-hitch paracord pouch to make this modified version, when you have to start the weave i went under and over every one instead of under 2 over 2, this gave me a very tight pouch with very little gaps, I used a men's deodorant bottle for my first attempt at this pouch it turned out well and was not to difficult until i got to the last two weaves

The next few pouches that i wove i went down to an Impulse deodorant bottle to make a slightly smaller version of these, they are not any harder to construct than the larger ones.
I also made some using two colours and small skulls for the cord locks.

I followed JD's TyingItAllTogether(TIAT) video tutorial to learn the "Tiny Globe Knot" using paracord. this is a an easy knot tutorial to follow and i was able to get a good result first attempt.

I Have used a colour that is new to me that i received in my order from Supply Captain last week it is Fireball. I started with about 1m of 550 cord and used a small marble in the centre once the knot was completed

It was able to complete the "Tiny Globe Knot" first try last night. I still have to finish off the ends later today and then it will go into our Geocaching box of goodies that my kids have.
